Abstract: This research described the implementation of language assessment principles to evaluate summative test at Madrasah Aliyah Ni’matul Aziz Jelapat Barito Kuala Academic Year 2017/2018. The students in this research are 27 students for class X. The objectives of this research are (1) To know how teacher implements the practicality question for summative test at Madrasah Aliyah Ni’matul Aziz 2017-2018, (2) To know how teacher implements the reliability question for summative test at Madrasah Aliyah Ni’matul Aziz 2017-2018, (3) To know how teacher implements the validity question for summative test Madrasah Aliyah Ni’matul Aziz 2017-2018, (4) To know how teacher implements the authenticity question for summative test Madrasah Aliyah Ni’matul Aziz 2017-2018, (5) To know how teacher implements the washback from summative test at Madrasah Aliyah Ni’matul Aziz 2017-2018. For data collection the researcher did the observation, interview and documentary. The researcher analyzed the data descriptive qualitatively. The result of this research is found that the implementation of language assessment principles on summative test is good. The questions for the test are practice, reliable, valid, authentic, and have a positive washback. Those factors influence the test to be a good test. The teacher has success in making a question for a test. Although the test itself still has a weakness but it is not make the test to be poor in quality.
